Senior Consultant
Dr. Karen Acree is a higher education professional specializing in digital accessibility and instructional design. Having been in higher education for over 20 years, and as Quality Matters certified peer reviewer and facilitator, Karen brings a deep understanding of quality course design and professional development including best practices for content delivery; alignment of course content, activities, and assessments with objectives; as well as making content accessible.She is experienced in Canvas learning management system implementation, administration, and support.
Karen’s expertise in digital accessibility has benefitted numerous institutions, faculty, staff, and students. She has assisted in the creation of accessibility plans; performed accessibility evaluations; provided training in accessibility techniques; and edited documents and videos to ensure accessibility for all.
Karen looks forward to partnering with the higher education community to provide her skills in accessibility and course design initiatives.
Sandy Gilpin

Sandy Gilpin has a wealth of experience in K-12 and higher education. She boasts over 15 years of leadership in higher education administration and 18 years as a mathematics faculty member in both high school and college. Throughout her career, Sandy has created and led numerous areas and programs, crafting high-performing teams and instigating meaningful change. Her forte lies in streamlining operational processes and nurturing innovation. A seasoned facilitator, Sandy excels in guiding diverse groups through transformative transitions and developing collaborative, high-performing teams. Her skill set includes project management, policy development and review, building consensus, and adept communication with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds. With a keen ability to swiftly grasp context and an empathetic listening approach, Sandy is dedicated to driving positive change and facilitating growth in a variety of educational environments.
